OUR CORE SUBJECTS

PERENNIAL PHILOSOPHY
(or PERENNIAL THEOLOGY)
Explore common areas of mystical transformation from many global belief systems (or, in the case of Judeo-Christian theology, its shared truths). We provide the relevant books (you can bring your own books too), writing materials, a wilderness solo cabin to focus on your studies, food, water, an on-site library, trails, beauty beyond measure.
You must accept a vow-of-silence for the weeks you attend, live in absolute solitude (except when you visit the on-site library [make coffee/tea and mingle with other students - talking is permitted in the library]).
MAINE ONLY (travel allowance is not included in your tuition)

INDIGENOUS AMERICAN PHILOSOPHY
Explore the common mystical traditions of selected Native Americans (north, central, and south) and a few other (global) aboriginal populations. We provide the relevant books in English or Spanish (you can bring your own books too), writing materials, a wilderness solo shelter to reflect on your studies, food, water, trails, beauty beyond measure.
No vow-of-silence required for the weeks you attend. Service Learning (ecotherapy) add-ons are required to graduate: A trained Service Dog will be provided for you during your stay.
AZUA ONLY (travel allowance is not included in your tuition)

SERVICE-LEARNING
Learn to apply what you learn; service-learning constitutes the Applied Ethics of our school. While being either a theist or an atheist such constructs are not a requirement of our programs, it is important to learn our ethics; they will help you integrate your new knowledge.
These constitute the behavioral applications of our philosophies to a wounded world. Simply stated: While a traditional God may or may not exist, we can count on a universe of sacred meaning.
